Trio Cortenbach
The Cortenbach Trio is a chamber music ensemble specializing in the repertoire for clarinet, cello, and piano. The trio consists of cellist Florianne Remme, pianist Alexander Declercq, and clarinetist Emile Souvagie.
It was formed in 2019 at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. The members received coaching from Thomas Dieltjens, Benjamin Dieltjens, and Amy Norrington.
The Trio had the honor of representing the Conservatory at the European Chamber Music Academy in Leipzig, where they performed recitals at the Mendelssohn-Haus and the Schumannhaus, as well as in the concert hall of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig. After a brief hiatus, they resumed their activities in 2021 with a concert at the Young Fazioli Fest in Mechelen, during the opening of the academic year in the concert hall of the Brussels Conservatory, and for the National Youth Orchestra in Orpheus Apeldoorn. In March 2022, they were invited to perform live on Podium Witteman on the Dutch channel NPO2. Additionally, they were guests at Muziekzomer Gelderland 2022, where they conducted a tour throughout Gelderland. Most recently, they appeared on Musiq3's program Ce n’est pas Tout, where they recorded Arvo Pärt's clarinet trio.
